just finished watching Good Luck on channel U. Storyline's about a First Officer, Shinkai Hajime on ANA (its a japanese drama) having certain issues in his career as a co-pilot. In the episode I just watched, he fell down from the emergency exit to the floor (around 2 to 3 stories high) onto his back, his ankles hitting the floor first. That was in an attempt to save his Captain. After assessing the damages, Shinkai had fractured bones, which could be healed, but severed nerves which would most likely end his career as a pilot.... You know it sucks when things like that happen. If i were him, i'll prolly have a mental breakdown and go crazy. They also had a part in the show where they potrayed Shinkai as an enthusiastic youth who has just completed his training. That part made you even feel worse for Shinkai, somehow. Anyway, that show was sure touching... makes me think about things which might happen and cause everything to end in an instant. Never able to do the things you like to do because of an injury, would you still be able to live with courage and in happiness? dreamt at 4/26/2005 08:41:00 PM, 0 comments as he sat there on the bridge facing the late afternoon sky and the sea, feeling the wind in his hair, he wondered... was life made to have problems? do everyone have problems? why? do we create this problems? or are they just there? do they come as a package deal? he wondered... is there anyway a person could live a life in complete happiness? could he live that life? He sat there for a long time, as people passed him by. Tourists, couples, people, just people treated as if he was not there. Just a shadow, just an illusion... He figures that his life was like that.. just an illusion. He is the soloist in playing the music of life, the lone wolf, to kill in packs if need be, to go alone if abandoned. Been 16 and a half years, eventful? or monotonous? Then he was awakened, back to life, back to his life, back to the thing he was thinking about. -Encore- dreamt at 4/23/2005 02:02:00 PM, 0 comments gundam is sick. since 1979. dreamt at 4/21/2005 08:55:00 PM, 0 comments wanted to upload the song now as a wma, but the wma version sucks way more than the midi. guess i'll retain the midi, but the song is really really nice in mp3. i've got to do another freaking gp essay, gonna fail again, lolz. too bad only get to ses on fridays and sats, hope there could be more, budden guess everyone else has no time. lost the motivation to do anything in school anyway, very poser-ish one leh. tml is thurs, then it is fri! yay.. dreamt at 4/20/2005 05:37:00 PM, 0 comments mixture rich, throttle quarter inch open, primer locked, anti collision light on, fuel pump on, shout clear start, on master switch, thumbs up after hearing stall warning, call contact, insert key, turn to start. *Engine started* oil pressure rising, throttle set 1200 rpm, fuel pump off, pressure in green, avionics switch on, intercom check with instructor, comms 1 on, comms 2 on, ADF on, transponder on standby, dead cut check, left right magnetos, ammeter indicating, suction gauge 4 to 5 inches, auxillary pump function check for first flight only, annunciator lights press to test, artificial horizon erect, directional indicator sync with compass, turn co-ordinator red flag away, "Skylark ops, 80, radio check", "80, strength 5, number 1 for taxy", fuel pump on, switch to right tank, pump off, throttle closed, wave chocks away, parking brakes release, throttle open, close when clear of shed, test foot brakes, thumbs up to marshaller, park in yankee, parking brakes on, throttle set 1200 rpm, change to comms 1, "Seletar Ground, skylark 80", "80, yankee, 2 POB, request taxi for area alpha", "80 taxi for whiskey 3, runway 03, QNH 1010", throttle idle, parking brakes release, park 45 degress to runway, parking brakes on, throttle set 1200 rpm, check front back clear, Ts and Ps in green, fuel on right tank, set 2000 rpm, left magneto, right magneto, max drop 175 rpm, max difference 50 rpm, carb heat on, drop around 50 rpm, idling check, 500 - 800 rpm, reset 1200 rpm, trimmer set takeoff position, flaps up, fuel pump on, pressure in green, contents sufficient, Ts and Ps in green, ignition on both, primer locked, mixture rich, throttle friction lever set as required, carb heat off, ammeter indicating, suction gauge 4 to 5 inches, artificial horizon erect, directional indicator sync with compass, turn co-ordinator red flag away, harness secured, control column full and free movement, Captains Brief: Any emergency on runway, abort takeoff.
