Woohoo long time since an update! Came back from a cruise quite sometime ago, had a ball of a time at the casino, it's amazing how some of those aunties at markets actually are able to afford the extravagant bets they place all the time. Crazy people. After that trip, I made a promise to myself, I'm gonna open a casino. XD jus jking. but frankly, if u wanna get rich, like real rich, just open a casino, it's no wonder why those gambling dens make so much money, the odds are just against you, just against you. I have one saying after my trip, and that is for every 1 person who smiles at the casino, 99 will cry. The biggest smiling face will defnitely be on the owner's face. (^-^) So who wants to be my business partner? XD Anyways other than the casino there was another source of entertainment and that was ktv! For just one drink you get to sing unlimited amount of songs in an unlimited amount of time. But that's in the main hall. I have no problems with singing in front of other people its just that you have to share. Haha not that I'm selfish or anything but there's an evident age gap between me and the rest of the patrons, so I just zoned out when others were singing. Was hoping for some young girls (or guys) who were great singers then can make new singing kakis for ktv! But alas, only old people sia haha. Then my choice of songs also went towards the Jackie Cheung era already, affected by the rest of the people. All in all, there were some pretty good singers la, no doubt old but the technique was there. The only takeaway from the session was a good one, cos someone came over, said I sang well and asked me why I didn't join the karaoke competition the previous night, (I went on the 2nd night), I just smiled. I think I would've lost anyway. See if there's an age gap, you won't really get them to vote for you anyway. Haha, they'll prolly vote for their own friends. Overall cruise was good! Just get fat, cos you eat and sleep and do nothing else but throw away your cash at the casino hurhur... woohoo! Went back to camp, and started preparing for my taiwan trip. Gonna be my last overseas training frame, hope it'll be an uneventful one. Definitely will be, cos I'll bail ass at the first sign of trouble, no point getting shit when you're going to be a free man soon. ^-^ Fucked up attitude, THAT's the way. Participated in Asian Fanatics Forum Idol 2008. Got through to round 2. Sang Wei Ni Xie Shi by Wu Ke Qun for round 1. Here are some of the comments...: - #07 reminds me a bit of last year's idol winner 0_0 omg. - I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR VOICE! Everything about it is just love...The song sounds very professional. There is plenty of emotion and control. It reminds me alot of Jay Chou =) Definitely hope to hear more from you in Round 2!!! - this was amazing!! you sound so professional...and i luuuuv the song....awesome performance!!<3 - hahaha! i wanna marry him too..... he's got that hot idol pop star voice.....teehee - i quite like contestant #7it doesn't sound forced, very natural. - I like number 1, 7(my heart melts from hearing his voice!! - love this!! like everyone else has said so far, your voice is awesome. this is one of my fave kenji songs and i love how you stuck with his style throughout the song. you sound less strained then he does when you go high. OMG LOVE! <3 - i have a lot of expectation because there is such a hype about u... but hey... u r excellent! great tone... actually i much prefer u to the original~ but watch it as u finish a sentence... because u tend to die out like u r bored or something... - I had to listen to this one since people were talking about marrying this contestant...Lets see if i want to marry him too...nope. but then i did get a nice feeling when i heard the song... - my favourite so far is no. 7!im in love with his voice!i actually got really sick of that song a while ago, but now he just made me like it again XD Good and bad, haha. Round 1 was alright cos it was own choice. Just sent in my songs for round 2. Think I'm gonna get trashed. They actually asked me to sing Ge Qian by Jay, one of the no no songs I never NEVER sing even in kbox or while recording. Sigh~ They got me this time.... Hopefully I can redeem myself with Wu Fa Kai Kou by Su Yong Kang, zzz... Anyway I took someone's comments into consideration and did some funny stuff to make my voice seem stronger. If I get through to round 3... I'll.... thank you! Haha =) Wellups, won't be blogging for quite awhile! Will be flying off tomorrow night.
